Too bad this product is discontinued. I actually had to order it on eBay because my CVS no longer sold it. The coverage was great! I have oily skin and I tend to break out due to clogged pores. Since it's 50% water based, I didn't have an issue with my pores getting clogged. It did however, took me 3 tries to get to the right color. I usually don't stick with a makeup for long since I am never 100% happy with a product, but this foundation fits my skin very well and is blendable and affordable on my student budget. I've been using this for about 4 years now and I am very happy... I'm just afraid once everyone fully runs out of supply, I am going to have to find something to replace it.

I first bought this product when I had faded acne scars. It did cover them but I had a really bad time blending the foundation. I also have to say that this was my first foundation EVER so I didn't have any experience. I used to apply with my fingers. Now, a year later, I apply this stuff with a foundation brush. It gives a light-to-medium coverage. It definitely does not cover all my acne and scars but if fades them a little. (I'm using it under my L'oreal Bare Naturale, which gives me full coverage, so that's why I don't need a full coverage liquid foundation).
You have to know that his foundation is NOT buildable, and if you put too much, it'll look cakey and super unnatural. Since it is 50% water-based, it does not make me break out, which is amazing ! It won't clog your pores so don't worry about it! It does not give a matte finish, so you have to apply powder to set it.
PS: if you have acne and acne scars, this will not hide them unless you apply this under a mineral powder that will give you full coverage, like I do.

This product has been discontinued. This was a lightweight, water-based formula. I liked the smooth application, but this is a formula you can't build for additional coverage. I found this only got me through about 3pm.

I apply this fdt with a MAC 188 dupe, and get a medium level coverage with a satin matte finish. You could also sheer this out and get light coverage, but when you really layer this on, and set it with some water and blot, you get a really beautiful finish! Well, I did anyways. There's also this cooling sensation when you apply this on, probably because it's 50% water.
The staying power of this is not so great. I wore this with some moisturiser and SPF, and by the end of the day my makeup was splotchy and patchy. So setting it with some translucent powder and a primer is a must, ladies! Or at least some sort of sunscreen underneath so that it will have something to adhere to. I use Skindinavia No More Shine Makeup Finish for oily skin.
The colour of this? Not so great! It's a bit on the orangey-brown side, I think, especially for the medium skin tones, but if you blend it out, or set it with some finishing spray and blot, it can look really natural, and like your skin. I got this in medium beige, and luckily Maybelline has a great colour range, because I saw some colours for darker skintones.
I love the packaging! It's one of the best there is. It's in a squeeze tube, that is secure and safe, and something you can easily throw in your handbag and not be afraid of it leaking. It also dispenses the right amount so you're not wasting any product.
Would I buy this again? Overall, I think this is a great foundation, especially for wear in the summer, but I like trying out new products, so no. Plus the quality isn't really amazing-worthy for me to be coming back to it.

This product my truly awesome HG before it went away. I used the lightest color (01, I think?) religiously, and it matched my skin tone very well. Keep in mind that I have a terrible time matching, as I am extremely fair and cool. This foundation was extremely easy to blend, had a nice consistency, and made my skin look flawless as it effortlessly glided over my pores (as opposed to sticking in them, like EVERY OTHER BRAND I HAVE TRIED!) The only problem I had with this foundation was its tendency to turn shiny and ashy colored within a few hours, something I attribute to my extremely oily t-zone. I LOVED the $5 price tag, too! I am currently squeezing every last drop of life out of my remanining blue tube, then it will be time to go huntin' again. Very sad :(

I'm sooooo sad that this has been discontinued! You would think how good this product is (according to reviews), that Maybelline would keep this product on their shelves. I went to the store to pick up a few bottles since I was out and found that all the shades were one, except for the darkest one (there was one left). I'm so sad to see this go. This was by far the best thing I've ever found and have been using it for years! It's cheap price (about $3- something at Wal-mart) kept me going back for more and more! I don't know which brand I can use to replace this when I've tried several others already. I'm currently using Covergirl Clean (liquid) makeup for normal skin and I absolutely hate it! I compared the ingredients from Maybelline Pure Makeup and Covergirl's Clean liquid makeup was primarily water based. The smell of this "replacement" is horrible, goes on caky in pinkish/orangish tones, and I cannot apply this as easily or evenly as Maybelline's Pure makeup so therefore it leaves spots all over my face if I didn't apply it too well, and the spots that did get too much makeup wind up really drying my face out. I just can't believe that this is waterbased by how bad it reacts to my skin type. I really wish I could find some Maybelline Pure Makeup in my skin tone color. I've searched online and almost would be willing to pay a premium just to have some.
If anyone has found a good replacement for Maybelline's Pure Makeup please let me know!!!

Oooooh, i love this. I got it on sale at my local CVS, i hope they aren't discontinuing it. It goes on my face so smooth, and cover the imperfections i want it to cover. This is some really good summer foundation. It doesn't melt off my face, make it look oily, it just has a nice dewy finish. I love it!!!

This was my HG foundation. I loved the texture, colour, finish, everthing. It's often been compared to a tinted moisturiser in terms of coverage which is true, it doesnt cover everything but it evens out skin tone and texture extremly well. It doesn't have that heavy or thick feel that tinted moisturisers can have and looks very natural. It contains 50% water so i think this is what makes it glide on so beautifully and stay kind of matte/semi-dewy all day. It doesn't transfer or rub off on anything and i found i had no need for touch-ups even in humid weather. All of that being said, it is going to be very hard and stressful to find something similar now that this has been discontinued.

I haven't actually used this product, but from what I hear about it is that it's a good foundation for oily skin users who don't want oil on their face, because this product is water-based. Since this product is discontinued, I'll recommend a product that I love that's extremely similar, if not better, which is the Revlon Colorstay Active foundation.

Noo! This product is discontinued! I have searched everywhere and can't find anywhere that has any left! This stressed me out so much as I have never found a foundation I love as much as this one. It goes on great and gives me the perfect amount of coverage. Does anyone have any suggestions of something similar to this that I can try??

This is a great starter foundation!
I have been using it for about a year and it's a great light to medium coverage.
In my case, it can sweat off and transfer a little if it is not set with a robust setting powder.
It's extremely light weight and a quick and easy application.
Packaging is great, price is great, and works well with my sensitive skin.(:

I have been using this as my go to foundation for quick makeup application in the morning before work. I put moisturizer on first and then put this on with a sponge. This goes on very smoothly and is a lighter coverage which is great for summer. You will need to use a concealer if you have any blemishes. I find it does last all day, not really any issue with transferring and works good on my oily skin. It really doesn't feel like you are wearing makeup. I would prefer maybe a little bit more coverage on this one but it works for me in the light 2 classic ivory, it is a perfect match for my skin tone.

Purchased this for 75% off in Light 1 Porcelain Ivory. Great match to my complexion. For reference I wear MAC NC15, Rimmel 100, Cover Girl or Maybelline Classic Ivory, MUFE 200-Beige Opalescent, or Cover FX E0. Delivered nice light coverage, was very east to apply with a dampened sponge, and set to a lovely semi-matte finish. That is wear the pros end for me. I found within 2 to 3 hours my face was a greasy mess and the foundation oxidized into orange tones! I tried paring it with a few different moisturizers with SPF (as the foundation lacks any SPF coverage) and finishing powders, only to end up with the same results. To bad as the colour was a great match, liked the tube packaging, and loved the light coverage.

I like this product for the summer. Great coverage, not to thick or heavy. It stays in place, too, which surprised the heck out of me!
It literally feels like I have nothing on my face.
I will buy this again and again.

I don't know if there is a 'perfect' shade of this for me, just acceptable ones, but last week I saw this on sale for just over $2 CND (Regular $7 or so) so I bought a couple levels different of 'light' and so I'll have lots to play around with, with my constantly changing skin this summer. I personally love that it has pink under tones, I have a hard time finding foundation to match the tone of my skin. The coverage of this is light, just a little more than a tinted moisturizer, but it is build-able. I use a sponge to dab a little more product onto the spots that need a little more coverage, such as my red cheeks. The finish is slightly dewy, I don't find it greasy, definitely doesn't feel like foundation on your skin. I like the packaging, a squeeze tube, it's easy to squeeze out onto your fingers, a sponge, brush or whatever you are applying with. I sometimes set this with a powder, although it's usually not necessary, I am just set in my ways. This is my go-to foundation for my clearer skin days, or summer days where I want a little coverage, but nothing heavy. I sometimes mix this with my face cream or sunscreen to make the coverage even lighter, just to even things out a tad. All in all this is a good product, I have repurchased it many times, and will continue to do so.

I've been using this foundation, along with Photoready, for a couple of months now. overall, its n okay foundation. The problem is, the shades are all too pink/orange.. and my skin comes out looking very pink toned. Also, because my skin is really messed up it tends to look very caky on days when my skin decides to dry out...
The coverage is light. Trying to build it up is impossible as it will for sure get caky.
If it goes on sale, I might purchase again just because its a light foundation, and the colormatch isn't THAT horrendous compared to some other foundations I've tried (i.e. Colorstay!)
EDIT: I have seen this on clearance in both Canada and the U.S. so I'm positive it has been discountinued. If you can find a shade that matches you, snatch it up for sure!

Texture: nice and lightweight on the skin. Goes on nicely on normal/oily skin, but accentuates dry flakes if you have them.
Coverage: medium. My main issue is discoloration/redness and this works well to even things out. When I use a duo-fibre brush to apply, my skin ends up looking really perfect.
Wearability: does not hold up well on hot summer days, turns orange and starts looking cakey. OK for winter or air conditioned environs though.
Shade: I have yellow-toned (asian) skin, and while Classic Ivory (Light 2) is the right shade, the tone veers toward pink. The difference is acceptable, but not ideal. Nude (Light 4) would be a better match. continued >>

I was so excited when I found this last night at Duane Reade for $3.50! I'm trying out different drug store foundations to see which works best for me and the sale was right up my alley.
Now when I tried this last night I hated it!! I will keep in mind my face was not clean and I did not prime properly but the foundation was so dry on my skin I looked 80 years old! There wasn't much coverage either :(.
I'm going to try again and hopefully I can edit this review but so far this gets a big HECK NO from me. NEXT! LOL

Umm.. this dries so quickly : o
It gave me medium coverage, and it wasn't orange at all :) so that's the good thing. Idunno if I got a bad one or something, but this caked a little, because it dried right away. If u're using this, you have to work on a very little area at a time.. which isn't exactly time consuming..

I really like this foundation, I have very dry acne prone skin and since my skin has been breaking out like crazy for the last couple of months (due to hormonal acne) I used Revlon ColorStay & Mabelline 24hrs makeup and they covered like a dream but I wanted to try something more light weight for the summer time specially her in AZ, but still get a nice coverage. This foundation covers really nice and its very buildable I would say it medium to full coverage. Since this is a water based foundation I due tend to wear it everyday to work and I have seen a bit of improvement in my skin since my pores seem less clogged. The staying power is very nice I due set it with Maybelline Powder. Overall its a nice product I would repurchase. continued >>
